The Chittagong innovative team experienced a critical strike when Masterda Surya Sen was caught on 16 Feb 1933 from Gairala town after a tip-off from an core of the team. Either because of cash, or out of envy, or because of both, Netra Sen informed the English Govt that Surya Sen was at his home. But before Netra Sen was able to get his Rupee 10,000 compensate, he was murdered by the revolutionaries.

Surya Sen along with Tarekeshwar Dastidar was hanged by the English on 12 Jan 1934.[2] He was extremely tormented before the loss of life phrase. It was revealed that the English executioners split all his tooth with sort and picked all claws and split all divisions and joint parts. He was then drawn to the gallows subconscious. Nobody conducted his memorial after his loss of life. It was discovered later that the jail power put his system in a metal crate and thrown out it into the Bay of Bengal.
