St. Martin's Island.
St. Martin's Isle, a little island in the northeast aspect of the Bay of Bengal, about 9 km southern of the tip of the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf peninsula. It is the only barrier island in Bangladesh. It is about 8 km western of the north western shore of Myanmar at the oral cavity of the Naf Stream. The regional name of the area is নারিকেল জিঞ্জিরা Narikel Jinjira (also written "Narical Gingira", "Narikel Janjina", and "Narikel Jinjera"), significance "Coconut Island" in Arabic. St. Martin's Isle has become a well-known vacationer identify. Three delivery ships run everyday visits to the area. They are Kutubdia, Sea-Truck and Keary-Sindbad. Visitors can guide their journey either from Chittagong or from Cox's Bazar. The nearby barrier offshore of the area has an expansion known as Chera Dwip. The island is house to several vulnerable varieties of turtles, as well as the corals, some of which are discovered only on maui.
